What format will I receive the data in?

Files are delivered securely as compressed pipe-delimited .txt files.

What is the typical file size for a standard data set?

Standard data sets are comprised of multiple files, each of which is approximately 20-25GB compressed, and 80-90GB when uncompressed.

How is the data delivered?

Standard data sets are delivered via a secure portal, with credentials sent separately to grant access for download.

How do I access the data once it’s delivered?

After downloading the data set from the secure portal using your credentials, you will need to decompress the file with Winzip or another other preferred software.

What support can I expect after delivery?

After receiving your data set, the CIVHC team is available to help you with any questions related to accessing the data set. In addition, we include 5 hours of support with our team to help you download and access the data and to answer any questions you may have.

How long does it take?

Standard de-identified data sets can typically be delivered within a couple weeks once your request is approved and the associated CO APCD Application paperwork is signed. Custom data sets and custom reports typically take much longer – 45 to 60 days once your request is approved and all paperwork is signed.
