November’s Data User Group meeting will feature speakers from the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment (CDPHE) and CIVHC analysts as they discuss how data from each organization can combine to tell the whole story of health care in Colorado.

The Vital Statistics Program is the official record of vital events in Colorado (births, deaths, abortions, marriages, divorces, etc.). This information, when linked to data from the CO APCD, can provide a wider lens through which to assess health across the state and identify our biggest public health priorities. During the session, speakers will talk about the process to link these two types of data and highlight some of the insights that become available when CO APCD data and vital statistics information are aligned.

• Hannah Peterson, CDPHE Chronic Disease Epidemiologist
• Megha Jha, CIVHC Data Analyst and Lead Analyst for CIVHC’s High Value Care at End-of-Life project
