Health care claims data doesn’t arrive usable. That’s where we come in, and the difference we make is measured in lower costs, care closer to home, policy evidence, program growth, and real help for individuals, families, and communities.
Every claim represents a person, a community, or a decision waiting to be better informed or more wholly served. Here’s what happens when that data meets people who know what to do with it.
See how the same claims data, architected and analyzed by our team, enables five different stories of impact:
CIVHC used claims data to give Vail Valley Partnership (VVP) insight into the roots of some of the highest health insurance premiums in the country, and how they stacked up to others in the region, with the aim of bringing costs down.
Shop for Care lets any Coloradan look up what a procedure costs before they have it. Free, built with taxpayer dollars, and one of 300+ public datasets CIVHC releases every year.

Claims data can show where affordability and access policies are working, and where the gaps are. The Denver Indian Center Inc partnered with CIVHC to evaluate health care treatment, trends, and utilization among American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
CIVHC worked with Colorado’s Division of Insurance and payers to collect, validate, and securely deliver the claims data needed to implement the state’s prescription drug affordability law.
CIVHC used CO APCD claims data as part of a rigorous evaluation of Denver’s supportive housing program, helping measure whether housing could improve health care use and reduce public costs.
“Thanks to CIVHC and the Health Equity Fund, we were able to dive deeper into data on how babies and toddlers have better access to health care and better health outcomes when they can stay continuously enrolled in Medicaid and private insurance plans. The data and report we published will support our continued work in public policy, ensuring Colorado is the best place to be a kid.”
“Colorado has long needed a clearer picture of who is and isn’t accessing perinatal care — and our partnership with CIVHC, supported through their Health Equity Fund, delivered it. From postpartum visit gaps that vary widely across counties, to a perinatal mental health treatment gap that leaves the majority of diagnosed individuals untreated, the findings give us — and the state — the kind of evidence we’ll be acting on for years to come. None of it would be possible without CIVHC’s commitment to making claims-based analysis accessible and rigorous.”
“Working with CIVHC was a wonderful experience. The data they helped us gather and analyze is not just about numbers, but has become a powerful tool that has helped us tell the story of our impact and the successes of the people CVC serves beyond housing outcomes.”
