SUMMARY:Data to Drive Decisions: Resources to Chart COVID's Impact in Colorado
DESCRIPTION:It is nearly impossible to understate the impact of COVID-19 on every facet of life in Colorado. In this webinar\, CIVHC will look at three COVID-related analyses that helped inform different aspects of the pandemic as everyone worked together to predict the impact\, minimize the risks\, and continue to serve the health care needs of Coloradans. \n• High Risk Populations: Early in the pandemic\, data from the CO APCD provided insight into geographic areas with Coloradans at high risk of severe illness should they contract COVID\, allowing for targeted intervention efforts and eventual vaccination planning. \n• Impact of Elective Procedure Cessation: When the Executive Order declaring a temporary cessation for elective procedures went into effect\, it was unclear what the impact might be on revenue to hospitals and other health care providers. \n• Trends in Telehealth Utilization: Many health care services had to continue despite the virus\, and providers of all specialties displayed remarkable agility and ingenuity as they pivoted to telehealth nearly overnight. \nREGISTER NOW

SUMMARY:National Health Decisions Day
DESCRIPTION:National Health Care Decisions Day (NHDD) is an initiative to encourage people to express their wishes regarding healthcare and for providers and facilities to respect those wishes\, whatever they may be. It’s important to understand that NHDD is not only about end-of-life care but is meant to reach a much broader spectrum so that every individual may have their healthcare wishes met. \nThis year’s event is April 16th. This is a national ‘holiday’ where organizations across the country work to get the word out about advance care planning. This is the second year in a row we’re helping collectively promote the great work that is happening that day and week. Click below to learn more and find out where to ask questions and complete advance care plans with experienced professionals.\n\n\nLearn more here

SUMMARY:Colorado Scorecard on Payment Reform Info Session #2 (Payer Focused Event)
DESCRIPTION:Colorado is one of three states in the nation selected to participate in CPR’s 2017 work to assess efforts to reign in health care costs. As a sponsor\, CIVHC will leverage data from the Colorado All Payer Claims Database (CO APCD) and work with the Colorado Association of Health Plans and health insurance payers across the state to understand the impact new payment models are having on quality and cost of care. \nThe Scorecard will gather health plan data from calendar year 2016 to benchmark how much and what types of payment arrangements are happening in Colorado\, building a bird’s eye of view of payment reform and its impact on the Triple Aim of health care in the Centennial State\, all while protecting health plan confidentiality. Click here to learn more about the project. \nDuring the sessions\, CPR’s Program Director Andréa Caballero will provide health plans with a description of the project goals\, including an overview of the data that CPR will request from health plans\, and answer questions. Andréa will be accompanied by CIVHC’s Vice President of Communication\, Cari Frank\, and CIVHC’s Vice President of Research and Compliance\, Jonathan Mathieu. The same material will be covered in both sessions. \nClick link below to register

SUMMARY:Change Agent Chat - DRCOG
DESCRIPTION:The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) is the federally designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and provides services designed to help senior Coloradans live full and healthy lives. By analyzing CO APCD data from a group of individuals who did not receive AAA services compared to those who did\, DRCOG is working to determine the influence their work has on the health care utilization and the quality of life of older Coloradans.\n\nHas DRCOG realized a cost savings through the AAA services? How do the outcomes of AAA clients differ from those not in the program? \nGet answers to those questions and more during our 30 minute #ChangeAgentChat on Friday\, August 11th\, 12-12:30pm MT\, hosted by CIVHC’s VP of Communication and Marketing\, Cari Frank. \nLinks to all Chat recordings will be posted to the guest’s Change Agent profile in our Change Agent Gallery.
