SUMMARY:January Data User Group Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The January CO APCD Data User Group meeting will feature analysts from the Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC) discussing how they use per-unit cost analysis in various reports. \nSkill: Analysis of per-unit costs \nBefore performing any analysis including per-unit costs\, analysts must determine how to approach the variable as determined by the needs of the report. In this session\, CIVHC analysts will demonstrate the different ways they use the per-unit variable through three different report case studies. \nCO APCD Case Studies \n\nOut-of-Network Resources – fee schedules detailing the prices out-of-network providers are allowed to charge for specific services per Colorado legislation.\nProvider Payment Tool – a price transparency tool enabling Coloradans to understand variance in health care payments to providers. \nHospital Price Transparency Comparison – a non-public analysis exploring how Colorado hospitals are complying with the federal transparency laws to list pricing on their websites.\n\nSpeakers will include: \n\nNicole Kuzmich\, CIVHC Health Care Data Analyst\nTim Ginader\, CIVHC Senior Health Care Analyst\, Team Lead\nAsmita Ghimire\, CIVHC Health Care Data Analyst
