DESCRIPTION:Organizations across the nation break down barriers firmly entrenched in our health care system. With boundless passion and limited resources\, they increase access to care\, implement innovative ways to deliver high quality care at affordable prices\, and\, day in and day out\, fight to keep Americans healthy. \nDuring these chats\, we will highlight one of these Change Agents and the exciting work they are doing to create a better health system for us all. \nColorado Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association \nThe Colorado Chapter of the APTA used CO APCD data to investigate what percentage physical rehabilitation services (Physical Therapy\, Occupational Therapy\, and Chiropractic) make up of total health care expenditures in Colorado. By looking at claims from commercial insurers for outpatient services at provider offices\, ambulatory surgery centers\, and hospitals\, the Colorado Chapter was able to identify service utilization as a portion of health care spending between 2010 and 2012. \nHow did the Colorado Chapter of the APTA use the information they discovered to benefit Coloradans? \nJoin our 30 minute #ChangeAgentChat on Friday\, January 12th\, 12-12:30pm MT\, hosted by CIVHC’s Chief Medical Officer\, Tamaan Osbourne-Roberts\, MD.
