DESCRIPTION:Colorado is one of three states in the nation selected to participate in CPR’s 2017 work to assess efforts to reign in health care costs. As a sponsor\, CIVHC will leverage data from the Colorado All Payer Claims Database (CO APCD) and work with the Colorado Association of Health Plans and health insurance payers across the state to understand the impact new payment models are having on quality and cost of care. \nThe Scorecard will gather health plan data from calendar year 2016 to benchmark how much and what types of payment arrangements are happening in Colorado\, building a bird’s eye of view of payment reform and its impact on the Triple Aim of health care in the Centennial State\, all while protecting health plan confidentiality. Gain insights and perspectives from health plans on the latest trends that are driving cost increases and how employers\, providers and consumers can collaborate with payers to reduce costs and improve quality during this time of dynamic transformation. \nPanelists \nJanet Pogar\, Regional Vice President\, Provider Solutions\, Anthem\nJanet has a passion for reducing the cost of health care and has worked on all sides of the delivery system. Her career has included working with several physician organizations in Colorado Springs and Denver\, including Physician’s Network (IPA) and their associated HMO. Since re-joining Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in 1999\, she has overseen all hospital\, physician\, ambulatory surgery centers and ancillary negotiations\, as well as numerous operational functions. Janet has also been involved in employer facing meetings to help with concerns over the rising cost of health care and product strategies/cost of care initiatives to reduce premiums. \nGretchen Flanders McGinnis\, MSPH\, Sr. VP Healthcare Systems & Accountable Care\, Colorado Access\nOver the past 17 years Gretchen has focused on Medicaid\, CHP and integrated care. She has overseen the implementation of a number of public sector contracts won by Colorado Access including three RCCO (Regional Collaborative Care Organization – Medicaid ACO) contracts\, the CHP+ SMCN\, Medicare Advantage programs and Medicaid long term care and single entry point programs. Gretchen has over 20 years of healthcare experience and previously worked at the National Conference of State Legislatures focusing on health policy as well as at the CU Health Sciences Center on a primary research project for Type 1 diabetes. \nDean Grohskopf\, VP\, Network Management\, Mountain States Region\, Cigna\nDean joined Cigna as VP\, Network Mgmt\, Mountain States Region\, in 2011. He has leadership responsibilities for provider contracting and delivery system management in Colorado\, New Mexico\, Utah and Wyoming. Dean brings more than 20 years of experience in the health insurance industry. Prior to joining Cigna\, he served as VP of Network Management for Aetna in Colorado. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colorado Christian University. \nJennifer L Misajet\, MHA\, RN\,CNOR CSSM\, VP Care Delivery External & Surgical Services for Kaiser\, CO\nJennifer is responsible for a wide range of functional areas primarily focused around care delivery operations of surgical\, hospital\, and peri-hospital services. She is an RN with over 20 years experience in healthcare leadership. Her previous roles have included Director\, Admin. Director & Exec. Director at Regional & System levels. Jennifer’s experience includes critical access to large integrated delivery systems including expertise in healthcare remodel & construction\, quality and safety improvement collaboratives as well as supply/expense reduction initiatives. She maintains certifications in Surgical Services Management (CSSM) and perioperative nursing practice (CNOR). \nModerator \nKim Bimestefer\, President\, KB Solutions LLC\nKim has been a senior healthcare executive for more than 25 years with a performance record that includes four successful market turnarounds and two successful start-ups\, including development of a $10 billion business serving more than a million customers for a Fortune 100 Wall Street firm. As the local Board Chair\, President & General Manager for Cigna Mountain States from 2012 through 2016\, Kim was accountable for corporate strategy\, customer satisfaction\, medical costs\, employee relations\, branding\, membership growth and earnings. In this role\, Kim revitalized a struggling culture post acquisition and pioneered new partnerships with high-performing healthcare delivery systems and physician groups.
