Thank you to all members of the Delivery System Redesign Advisory Group for your thoughtfulness and participation over these last few meetings. We’ve done some very important work in building upon the efforts of our January 6th Strategy Session with Harold Miller. At the same time you’ve been working, the Payment Reform and Consumer Engagement groups have also been providing their input on the same topics. A very rich set of perspectives and thinking has emerged from each of these groups.
In looking at where we are with the combined leaders of the Advisory Groups, we’ve come to the conclusion that the most efficient and effective use of everyone’s time would be that staff and the leadership group collate and integrate the work of the separate groups before proceeding further. We believe that having a unified set of perspectives and a unified framework upon which to build will help accelerate the work of the groups.
To allow this work to happen, we are canceling the May Delivery System Redesign meeting and will postpone the June 2nd Strategy session that we had asked everyone to hold on their calendars. We expect to reconvene the groups to seek your feedback in either late June or early July.
